Standard 1: Demonstrates a commitment to students
and their learning
Evidence1: Creates classroom environment that reflects students’ work that meets the standards and encourages creativity and collaboration among students to promote daily academic growth

Reflection: Students
love to see their work hung up. It makes them feel accomplished and I have
noticed pride with students wanting to share with their peers. In art it is very
important to have art critiques (art criticism), but for those who weren’t able
to be at the critique a posted standard is always near by to
assist.
Goals: For
the future I will rotate the artwork more frequently. I feel this will keep the
classroom exciting for when the students enter the
room.

Reflection: This
was a very fun 'ice breaker' to have with my peers in hopes that they would
carry the information I gave them to their students. The idea of 'true colors'
is finding out which personality type you are. I believe once you get to know
someone you can know his or her likes and dislikes which leads to great
communication down the road.
Goals: The
next time we teach 'true colors' I would like to have more time for teachers to
actually take the formal test rather than skim the list of characteristics and
have a estimated guess of what fits them
best
Reflection: In
this unit students will be able to find their niche, It is an important time for
young adults to explore and get to know who they are. This lesson helps guide
that.
Goals: Have
a known smoother transition to the next use of self
portrait.
